Canada Goose Inc. is suing Sears Canada Inc. claiming that Sears infringed its parka design trademark.

According to Ctv Newsthe Toronto-based company, Canada Goose accused that Sears copied and sold its "highly distinctive" design from “Kensington" coat which is one of the most popular products. Canada Gooses is asking the court to order Sears to stop selling the products.

The article on The Star, Kensington coat by Canada Goose is $695 and Sears parka is $199.97.
Canada Goose alleged that The defendant is intentionally seeking to mislead consumers and potential consumers into believing that they are purchasing a “lower end” Canada Goose jacket that is intended for sale at Sears stores, or a jacket that has been authorized, licensed or endorsed by Canada Goose for sale at Sears, which is not the case,”, The Star added in its article.
