This GoldieBlox’s video commercial has good
message. It shows girls need their toys to encourage inventing and engineering,
and it used popular song ‘Girls’ by Beastie Boys with different lyrics. Beastie
Boys said they liked the commercial, but sued it for using their song without
permission, USA Today reported. Beastie Boys posted an open letter saying they strongly
support the message of the video, but they didn’t permit their song to be used
in product ads.
The company launched their new toy product
line for girls. GoldieBlox changed the lyrics of ‘Girls’ and make parody version.
The video hits over 8 million views.
