According to Oregon Live, a small coffee
producer, Black Bear Micro Roastery, has won a trademark infringement case by
Starbucks.
This coffee producer sued in 2001 for using
‘Charbucks’. Charbucks is Black Bear’s darkest roast coffee which was introduced
in 1997. Starbucks appealed to the 2nd US, but the court agreed with the
district court.
Starbucks respects but disagrees with the
court's decision, company spokesman Zack Hutson said.
