The long trademark battle between Cadbury and Nestle has ended. The UK court sided with Nestle, and it said the Cadbury's trademark application lacked the required clarity, precision, self-containment, durability and objectivity to qualify for registration, BBC updated.

Cadbury spokesman said to BBC that they were disappointed by the ruling.
"Our colour purple has been linked with Cadbury for a century and the British public has grown up understanding its link with our chocolate. We are studying this particular ruling and will consider our next steps which include the possibility of an appeal.", he added.

British chocolate manufacture company, Cadbury is one of the biggest chocolate company in UK and it is widely known for their purple wrapping. The purple color has been used for its main product Daily Milk since 1990s and Cadbury applied the color as their trademark in 2008. Nestle, the rival food company from Switzerland, opposed its trademark application claiming that color 'purple' can't be trademarked by one specific company.
