Another trademark lawsuit has filed by Pinterest.
Pinterest argued that Pintrips’ name is too similar to its own in appearance and sound, Tech Crunch reported.

“This action arises from Pintrips’ decision to adopt a social media brand that is confusingly similar to Pinterest’s, and its refusal to recognize, discuss or remediate the confusion it causes among consumers,” lawyers for Pinterest wrote in the complaint.

The first issue was the names. Pintrips sounds too similar to Pinterest. And another issue was that Pinterest already has a lot of content on its network related to travel. Pinterest users have posted more than 660 million pins in Pinterest’s ‘Travel’ category, the compliant noted. Also, the ‘pin’ button is “confusingly similar” to Pinterest’s ‘Pin it’ button.
