Selling translated books without permission, it’s copyright violation.

Korea Supreme Court ruled that sale of translated book summaries is copyright infringement if the writer did not allow it. A seller who bought books’ summaries from Summaries.com, translated it in Korean and sold them with a distribution company. The were sentenced 'not guilty' on the first trial, but on the second trial, he and the company were fined a hundred thousand won each.

The seller made contract from 2001 to 2009 with Summaries.com and was provided 15 summaries of books and translated the. But some of summaries were published without original author’s permission.
