The England and Wales High Court ruled that
Microsoft's ‘Skydrive' infringes broadband service Sky's trademark, pcworld.com
reported.
BSkyB filed trademark lawsuit against
Microsoft claiming that the SkyDrive name may cause confusion among consumers. The
judge said that the trademark was infringed. Microsoft submitted appeal for
case and if they lost, they will pay the damages for using SkyDrive name.
BSkyB is a British broadcasting, broadband
and telephone services company. It is one of largest pay-TV broadcasters in the
UK and Ireland with over 10 million subscribers.
