A Texas federal jury ordered Apple Inc. to
pay $368 million for infringing VirnetX’s patents and Apple has appeale d
against court’s decision, pcworld.com reported.
The court ordered last year Apple to pay
$368 million in damages to VirnetX for infringing VirnetX’s four patents. VirnetX
filed this lawsuit in August 2010 against Apple, Cisco Systems and other
companies. It claimed that Apple’s products, iPhone, iPad and iPod, infringed
their four patnets.
VirnetX’s CEO and president said in a statement that they
expected Apple’s appeal, the article added.
