Jack Kriby, who
was an American comic book artist, produced and created lots of famous comic characters
including Captain America, Fantastic 4, the X-man and Hulk. He died in 1994 and
his heirs claimed the copyright of those comic book characters. The federal
appeals court said they had no rights to those characters, Reuters reported.
This copyright dispute started with heirs’
claim. They owned the rights between 1958 and 1963 and Marvel later sued
Kirby’s heirs and asked a court to declare that the heirs had no rights.
