Nintendo won a patent case which filed by
Motiva LLC in 2008. According to Reuters, Nintendo can keep importing Wii system
into United State.
Motiva claimed that Wii infringed 2 patents
for a tracking system that tracks user’s body position and movement. U.S.
International Trade Commission (ITC) concluded that Motiva filed the case for
damages or a settlement, and ITC ruled that Nintendo did not infringe the Motiva’s
patents.
