To Kill a Mockingbird
The author of ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’, Harper Lee, has sued her literary agent. She claimed that the agent used her age and infirmity to take her royalties from the novel. To Kill a Mockingbird was published in 1960 and it won the Pulitzer Prize in 1961.

According to Bloomberg, she sued Samuel Pinkus and others to ensure her copyright ownership.

Pinkus knew that Harper Lee was an elderly woman with physical infirmities that made it difficult for her to read and see, Harper Lee had no idea she had assigned her copyright” Gloria Phares, Lee’s lawyer, said in the complaint. The Pinkus’ defendant, Leigh Ann Winick didn’t respond immediately.
