InterDigital Files Patent Case against Nokia, ZTE, Huawei and Samsung

InterDigital, a US wireless technology developer, files patent case on the sale of handsets made by Samsung, Nokia, ZTE and Huawei, Bloomberg reported. InterDigital is seeking a sale ban in US against the mobile companies claiming that 3G and 4G wireless devices used their technology without permission. They filed companion lawsuits in federal court in Wilmington, Delaware, and wanted to be paid for the use of its technology.

CNET also reported that ITC has 30 days to decide to launch an investigation. And a spokesperson for Samsung told CNET Samsung's announcement . 
"currently in the process of reviewing the filings." A rep for Nokia told us that the company is aware of the complaint and will "defend itself in this matter to ensure its rights are protected."
