The Korea Marine Corp applied trademark 'Marines'

The Korea Marine Corp announced that they are planning to apply a trademark for the word 'Marines' and its emblem symbol mark. This is to block other unlicensed private agencies’ camp business and protect its official camp program which opens only twice a year.

There were no mandatory controls on using ‘marines’ word in every private camp until now, but if this trademark will be approved, private camp agencies can’t use the word ‘marines’ in their camp programs anymore. It will be taking 4~5 months to get approved.
