Oprah Winfrey facing trademark lawsuit, 'Own your Power'

Oprah Winfrey faces a trademark lawsuit. She and her company Harpo Inc used the phrase ‘own your power’ and Simone Kelly-Brown, owner of Own Your Power Communications Inc filed a suit claiming that she already has the term ‘own your power’ trademark, huffingtonpost.com reported.

Winfrey and her company used the term repeatedly for ‘own your power’ promotional event and court said that it could become symbolic shorthand for her. Kelly-Brown also claimed that the logo of promotional event was similar to her won logo, but the court disagreed.
