PSY has released a new song ‘gentleman’. Like ‘Gangnam style’, he showed off a new dance move called ‘arrogant dance’ for his new song and he paid for it to the choreographer who made the move first. The choreography was originally for a song ‘abracadabra’ by ‘Brown eyed girls’ in 2009. It is very unusual for the industry.

For the choreography, people don’t have to pay for the moves if they mix the moves or change some parts. Park geun-hye, the president of Republic of Korea, mentioned about this case and emphasized the importance of protection of the contents industry.

Some people think that claiming copyright too much would make damages for advertising and profits. But Intellectual property right protection should be secured for all the creators first.
