Button Moon’s creator Ian Allen won a copyright infringement dispute of his Mr. Spoon character, BBC news reported. He was awarded £3,736 in damages and £3,421 legal costs from Robert Redshaw. Robert Redshaw was sued for selling T-shirts and mugs with designs similar to Button Moon and Mr. Spoon character.

Allen said "I was very determined that this man should not win. It was like someone taking your children and doing what they want to with them, and making money from it." BBC added. Mr. Redshaw said he didn’t copy the design but he intended to make parody of it.

Button Moon was a popular children’s television programme broadcast in the UK in the 80s. It was 10 minutes short episode per each and it was about adventures of Mr. Spoon.
