Weekly Korean IP Headlines 02.06. 2013

Korea ETnews reported Bloomberg’s '50 Most Innovative Countries' on February 3rd.  According to this report, Korea ranked on second place among 50 other countries and the country took number one place was USA. Germany, Finland, Sweden took third to fifth place.

The Bloomberg reports used 7 factors and weightings: R&D intensity (20%), productivity (20%), high-tech density (20%), researcher concentration (20%), manufacturing capability (10%), tertiary efficiency (5%), and patent activity (5%).  Korea stands out R&D intensity (5th), manufacturing capability (3rd), and patent activity (1st) factors among the innovative indicators based on the methodology mentioned above.  Click here for the ETnews article, and find out the original report from Bloomberg here.
