South Korean’s Samsung and LG have agreed
to their patent disputes without further arguing in courts, Yonhap News
reported. Ki-Nam Kim, president of Samsung Display, and Sang-bum Han, the president
of LG Display, had a meeting on 4th January over an hour and finally
decided to settle the patent dispute.
Kim said the company plans to "resolve
the issue one by one." Han of LG Display said there will be more talks
between executives of the two companies and details will be adjusted through
working-level talks.
The meeting between 2 companies reached the
end of the OLED patent issue, but they didn’t mention about future plans of the
cases and details. Samsung and LG had 4 ongoing patent cases now, and they
probably go for the new plan that own cross license.
