Eminem's publisher sues Facebook

According to HollywoodReporter, Eminem’s song publisher Eight Mile Style sued facebook and its ad agency for using unauthorized song. Facebook released its new mobile application ad ‘Airplane’ last April.

In the federal lawsuit the publisher says, “W+K’s and/or Facebook’s willful encouraging, inducing, facilitating and enabling of the unauthorized use and exploitation of the Eminem/D12 Composition and any derivative thereof constitutes copyright infringement.” tribute.ca also reported this issue on its website. The lawsuit also said that the song was picked for Zuckerberg who refers himself as ‘Slim Shady’ which is Eminem’s famous alter ego.

After the lawsuit implies that the observers noticed the similarity of the music, facebook released the Airplane ad in altered form.
