Apple accused by a Chinese firm for infringing
a software patent. The software is used for the Siri voice personal assistant
on iPhones, zdnet reported.
Zhizhen Network Technology claimed that Apple
copied its patent called "Xiao I”. Zhizhen said it patented its Xiao i
Robot software in 2004, while Apple's Siri made its debut with the release of
the iPhone 4S in 2011. Mei Li, the spokesperson of Zhizhen, said the company
had been developing ‘Xiao I’ chat robot system since 2003.
Zhizhen said it is not seeking for any compensation,
but want to be confirmed with their patent right, zdnet added.
