Kakao Talk 'Kakao Poll' app Claimed Idea Stealing by Dooit Survey

Kakao Talk which is the most popular messenger application in Korea has been claimed by a Korean venture company. Dooit Survey, an online research application development company, said that Kakao Talk stole their idea and launched new application with their services.

Kakao Talk launched ‘Kakao Poll’ app in Japan, US, Southeast Asia counties, etc last February. People can ask about something in Kakao Poll and others vote and show their opinion. Dooit Survey sent Kakao Talk certification of contents about how similar their applications were.  

According to Dooit Survey, they made a partnership proposal of making a polling service application and presented it in 2011. But Kakao Talk rejected it because they couldn’t afford it at that time. Dooit Survey launched polling service app ‘500 In’ with their own company technology in 2012.
