SAN FRANCISCO, Oct 2 (Reuters) - Samsung
Electronics Co Ltd said a major patent verdict in favor of Apple Inc should be
overturned because the jury foreman did not disclose that he once was in
litigation with Seagate Technology PLC, a company that counts Samsung as a
major investor.
Samsung has announced for a retrial of a
recent patent dispute case against Apple. Samsung said that the foreman did not
answer clearly about the case during jury selection. The BBC article mentioned
the comments by lawyers "Mr. Hogan's failure to disclose the Seagate suit
raises issues of bias that Samsung should have been allowed to explore in
questioning”

Koh (the U.S. District Judge) dissolved a
pretrial sales injunction against Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 this week, and
Samsung added the iPhone 5 to the list of Apple products it accuses of
infringing its patents, reuters.com said.
