Have you ever used shortcut keys while using WIPS Global?
When you need
to directly input a command on the keyboard without using features, a
key or combination of keys that simply enters feature with a button on the
keyboard (Example: [Ctrl]+[C] , [Ctrl]+[X] , [Ctrl]+[V], etc.) are called
shortcut keys. Shortcuts are often used to reduce the time it takes to move
between the mouse and keyboard. WIPS Global also supports shortcut keys to
increase work efficiency.
In this issue,
we will introduce shortcut keys, which are very useful when reviewing patent
documents in WIPS Global.
🔎View Details> Drawings
When reviewing drawings on the “Detail View” page of the searched patent, you can move the drawings by using the direction keys in the left (←), right (→), up (↑), and down (↓) directions.
If you use the Enter key, the detail view window of the selected drawing appears, and if you press the Enter key again, you can close the detail view window.
Similarly,
within the individual drawing window, you can move to the previous or next
drawing by using the direction keys, Left (←), Right (→), Up (↑), Down (↓).
🔎Keyword Highlights
Highlights are often used to mark specific keywords. You can move to the previous or next keyword by using the up (↑) and down (↓) direction keys.
🔎Easy Viewer
Easy Viewer, which can quickly review a large number of patent documents, is the most suitable feature to make the best use of shortcut keys. You can find the ‘Shortcut Tips’ in the top right corner of the page of the Easy Viewer. Let's take a look one by one.
There’re three taps, which are ‘Document’, ‘Drawing’ and ‘PDF’. PDF is the original patent document. Each menu tab can be moved by using the “[“ “]” key.
In the list of patent documents on the left, you can move to the previous and next documents with the up (↑) and down (↓) direction keys without using mouse scrolling.
Within the
detailed page of the selected document, you can page up and down with the left
(←) and right (→) direction keys.
On the Drawing
page, like the detailed view of the drawing, you can move between individual
drawings with the left (←), right (→), up (↑), down (↓) direction keys.
Press ‘Enter’
to view the selected drawing in more detail. Press ‘Enter’ again to close the
detail drawing screen.
In addition,
'C' key to
check the document while review,
'D' key to
delete,
'T' key for
tag classification,
‘F’ key for
flag (flag is linked to 'My Folder').
These are
really cool tips that are hidden all over the place. So far we looked at the
shortcut keys that are right in front of our eyes but invisible. If you didn’t
know until just now, why don't you try using it now?
